No volunteering is a waste of time.

It doesn't always work out as you might expect for a multitude of reasons, but if you persevere with it, you will find positive outcomes for those you are trying to help

The odds are often against you when you're volunteering. That's the environment you're stepping into, but if you can make a difference for one person, it's worth it.
